Description
This Almaz watch from Vostok-Europe has a striking blue dial whose color is designed to draw out the shades that are produced by the patina process. As this watch is marine grade bronze, the alloy will develop a patina over time. However, this particular model comes with a "Pre-patina." An artisan in Vilnius, Lithuania, hand applies a patina through an multi-step process that brings out the beauty in the bronze watch alloy.
This Vostok-Europe watch is also an automatic mechanical watch and is 200 meter water resistant, making it a professional grade diver's watch. It comes with an extra thick, pre-aged strap that requires no break-in period.

| Other Features | This watch is made of marine grade bronze. In the case of Vostok-Europe, the copper alloy is combined with sulfur to produce the rich, reddish hue. Bronze will naturally develop a patina over time due to oxidation. This is actually good for the alloy and a desirable effect. These models have what we call a "pre-patina". A local artisan in Vilnius, Lithuania puts the watch through a special process to create a patina in advance and give the watch a unique look. This process takes roughly a week and may create some scratching on the case. This is normal and expected. No two "pre-patina" units are exactly alike. |
